“Timeless” could be a synonym for “unchanged by time”, invariant under the operation of advancing time, the way a circle is invariant under rotations. With this notion,(space)time IS timeless in Special Relativity, but not in General.
That’s the sense in which I was thinking of “timeless.” I’m glad to hear that I stumbled onto a genuine paradox. (Or at least something that rises slightly above the level of a mere oxymoron.)
