The headline of a Jake Tapper post at ABCNews.com:
In Oregon, Clinton Makes False Claim About Her Iraq Record Vs. Obama’s
It’s not really worth reading — basically she tried to argue that if you start counting when Obama entered the Senate in January 2005, then she actually criticized the Iraq war before Obama did. Aside from the absurdity of ignoring the years from 2002 to 2004, it turns out that even by her own contrived standard, Obama criticized the war 8 days before she did in January 2005. Anyway, after the Tuzla lies and the hospital lies (pardon me: the Tuzla misstatements and the hospital misstatements), this is hardly news. I’m struck, though, by how Clinton seems to be going out of her way to corroborate David Geffen’s assertion well over a year ago that, “Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it’s troubling.”
