“Secret Cove” is the actual name, not my description. It’s on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, which might explain the sign as we approached warning that we might see nude people — apparently some of the beaches on the Nevada side of the lake are clothing-optional. Since it is still winter and the trail to the beach has snow on it, we encountered few people, all of them fully clothed.
Beautiful picture .
Thanks!
where is secert cove at
Harley, it’s on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe. The trail to the beach starts from Rte. 28, about 6 miles north of the intersection with Rte 50. You can find directions to Secret Cove here:

Harley, if you have Google Earth, the tip of the rocky point at the right of the picture is at 39 degrees 09′ 17.53′ N by 119 degrees 56′ 01.48″ W. There’s a parking lot 0.63 miles NNE and a fire trail that goes most of the way to Secret Cove. But the parking lot is usually full in season, and most folks park on the side of the road – tires off the pavement to avoid a ticket.
